Hotel Metropole Venezia is an iconic waterfront palazzo set along the Riva degli Schiavoni, steps from St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace, offering one of the most theatrical backdrops in the world for a wedding. Baroque drama meets artful eccentricity throughout the hotel, where every suite is a curated world of rich textiles, antique treasures, and art deco or oriental influences, overlooking the Venetian Lagoon. Autentico Hotels

The hotel’s lush private gardens provide a beautiful outdoor setting for ceremonies, while its elegantly decorated interiors set the stage for intimate receptions with views of the lagoon and Venetian skyline. A family-owned property and one of the last hotels in Venice not belonging to a chain, the Metropole feels like a living museum — thousands of antiques displayed throughout — with a Michelin-starred restaurant, Oriental Bar, and a private spa adding to the experience. For couples dreaming of a Venetian wedding steeped in history, romance, and unmatched grandeur, Hotel Metropole is in a class of its own.

We've stayed there twice already; it's one of the most affordable 5-star hotels. Great location, great restaurant. First-class breakfast. Rooms/junior suites facing the garden offer the best value for money.

A stay in an authentic and sophisticated Venetian palace! The Hotel Metropole is a gem in the heart of Venice, ideally located just steps from St. Mark's Square, opposite all public transport and next to the Pietà Church. The atmosphere is unique, elegant, and full of charm, with period furniture, works of art, and details that tell stories. The comfortable and refined room offered breathtaking views of the lagoon, including from the bathroom. The staff was impeccable: welcoming, attentive, and always available. The breakfast was excellent. The charming and peaceful inner courtyard garden was a true luxury.
