6 months ago542 is a hidden gem!! Tucked underneath a railway arch in Brixton you’d almost miss it BUT you shouldn’t!! I had such a great experience at a wine tasting and really can’t recommend it enough! The space itself was cosy, intimate and beautifully lit – one of those places that instantly feels special the moment you step inside and transports you elsewhere! The tasting was incredibly knowledgeable without ever feeling overwhelming. Each wine was introduced with just the right balance of expertise and storytelling, making the session both educational and genuinely enjoyable. The hosts CLEARLY knew their craft and created a relaxed atmosphere where questions were encouraged and conversation flowed as easily as the wine. If you’re looking for a wine experience that feels exclusive, warm and thoughtfully curated, this hidden arch venue is a must-visit – if you’re looking to host a party the venue will be prefect for that too!

6 months agoWe had our engagement party at this gorgeous venue and honestly couldn’t recommend it more. If you’re after a beautiful space with a proper cocktail bar, this place has you covered. It’s set up perfectly for a boogie and a good tipple.

6 months agoWe booked in a team wine tasting here. Hosted by the incredibly knowledgeable Dan and Aiden. When we arrived through the hidden door, we were greeted with smiles and champagne. The place feels like a hidden NY style speakeasy cocktail bar. Decorated with a giant mural and low lighting. Time flew by as we explored Dan and Aiden's favourite wines as well as some interesting champagne. This is a truly unique and elegant venue, perfect for team building, intimate dinners, private parties and smaller family gatherings. Set to a backdrop of great music, fine wine , a fully stocked bar and the most knowledgeable and friendly hosts . I can't recommend the team and venue enough and we can't wait to return again soon for more incredible hospitality.

9 months agoWent to 542 Brixton for a party last week and had such a great time! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. The vibe is spot on and you feel at ease straight away. The location is convenient to get to. Wide range of drinks were fantastic, staff were friendly, and the whole evening just flowed perfectly. Also, take some time to admire every detail and decor of the room... all put together so elegantly. Highly recommended!
