in the last weekA unique location. We came from busy Naples, and this location is completely in the middle of nowhere, in the plains between the fields. This means you can see far from the pool, but it also lacks the atmosphere of vegetation. There was a very dilapidated little beach bar by the pool; it was a shame it wasn't maintained. Very lacking in atmosphere. However, there was poolside service provided by the accommodation. The room was huge with a high ceiling. Neat and clean. Huge bathroom. Again, a unique atmosphere with many old relics, such as an old-fashioned sewing machine, baskets, and jugs. The food there was very good! You eat on a sort of square, which is very spacious and, again, not super atmospheric but certainly distinctive. The food was Michelin-style, very tasty. Breakfast was also fine. Staff super friendly.

a month agoA truly perfect stay. The welcome was incredibly friendly and helpful. The Masseria is beautifully and tastefully restored and decorated with great attention to detail. The grounds are picturesque. You feel like you're staying in a picture-perfect setting. Our room was absolutely quiet, spacious, and the bathroom was equally clean. This isn't just a hotel; it's a place. Kudos to the owners. We would love to return. The historic old town of Matera is just over 10 minutes away by car, and parking was no problem at all.
