in the last weekLooking to start a teddy bear army? Want to get shredded lifting a stroller? Look no further! If you are looking for a true "5-star" experience that tests your patience and physical endurance, this is the place for you. Let’s start with the exclusive entrance: a lovely flight of stairs with zero accessibility. It’s a complimentary CrossFit program where you get to deadlift your baby stroller multiple times a day. The staff will politely respect your personal space while you sweat, making absolutely no effort to help you. The reception team are absolute masters of suspense. We requested an early check-in (1 PM) and upon arrival were told, "Grab a coffee, give us 10 minutes!" An hour of waiting in the lobby with two toddlers later, they hit us with the ultimate plot twist: "Check-in is actually at 3 PM." Brilliant time management. Are they family-friendly? Well, warming up a tiny jar of baby food proved to be a technological impossibility for the entire hotel. And speaking of food, the quality overall was decidedly subpar. But don't worry, management has a flawless crisis resolution strategy: throwing plushies at their problems. Every time they made a major blunder, they handed our kids a teddy bear. We left with FIVE. Had we bravely visited the bars a bit more, we could have easily conquered a small country with our plushie militia. The room itself was just "okay" and nowhere near 5-star standards. The bathroom featured an innovative, minimalist "no towel rack" design (because who hangs wet towels anyway?), and our two beds had to fight over a single bedside table. All in all, they won't be seeing us back. But hey, if you want to skip arm day at the gym, love waiting in lobbies, and need to rapidly populate a toy store, book right away! Otherwise, save your money.

in the last weekWe stayed at the Marriott London County Hall as a family with both young kids and teens, and it was an excellent choice. The location is unbeatable—directly across from Big Ben, steps from the London Eye, and within easy walking distance of many major attractions. This made sightseeing incredibly convenient for all ages and saved us a lot of time and energy. For young children, the riverside walks, nearby attractions, and the hotel’s indoor pool were perfect. For teens, being so close to iconic landmarks, lively areas, and public transport made the trip exciting and easy to navigate independently. The area feels safe, walkable, and well organized, which really matters when traveling as a family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, giving everyone enough space to relax after busy days. Staff were welcoming and patient with children, which made us feel genuinely comfortable. Overall, this hotel combines a fantastic family‑friendly environment with one of the best locations in London. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for families with kids of all ages.

in the last weekThe staff were incredibly attentive and responsive; we immediately felt at ease. Even when we encountered language barriers, they went out of their way to understand us and meet our needs. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly across all departments. Our luggage was handled efficiently. There are two types of wall sockets: British and European, which is a big plus! A few drawbacks: ~The mattress was a bit firm but comfortable. Too small for a king-size bed. ~The light switches at the head of the bed didn't turn on the lights on the same side, and there was only one bedside lamp (the other is a piece of furniture). ~The air conditioning in the room was weak despite being set to full power, and the window was poorly insulated (it was barely possible to open it for ventilation). Persistent draft, unmitigated outside noise (Thames side). Be mindful of London Eye visitors; it's best to close the curtains, which obstructs the view. Long corridors and few elevators. Delivery and service charges are a bit high for the portions ordered through County Hall. A security deposit is required per night upon arrival (not always mentioned on booking sites). The pool temperature is a bit chilly. A copy of the Bible and New Testament is on the bedside table; a hotel of this standard should have completely secular rooms.

a week agoShameful. They left my 76-year-old parents and me stranded on the street despite a confirmed and paid reservation. I booked this hotel months in advance through Revolut Accommodations as an Ultra customer for March 27-29. I had the booking confirmation, paid for, and everything was fine in the app. I was traveling with my 76-year-old parents and was really looking forward to putting them up in a hotel of this category during our stay in London. When we arrived at reception, they told us they couldn't find the reservation in their system. I physically showed them the Revolut confirmation on my phone, with all the details: dates, names, and amount paid. The hotel's response was, literally, to hand back my passport and point me out the door. They said it was the supplier's mistake and that I should contact Revolut. No action whatsoever, not even the slightest attempt to resolve the situation. Their only "option" was to make a new reservation right then and there at exorbitant last-minute prices, far exceeding what I had already paid. What followed was a nightmare that lasted over three hours. My parents, exhausted from their trip, waited in the lobby while I desperately tried to resolve the situation, speaking with the hotel and Revolut support. Three hours. Elderly people. With a confirmed and paid reservation. And the hotel, seeing them sitting there, did absolutely nothing. In the end, my parents couldn't take it anymore. They were exhausted and needed to rest. We had no choice but to go out in the rain to find another hotel in a hurry, pay for a new last-minute reservation, and forget about our plans for that afternoon. To this day, April 1st—five days after the incident—I still haven't received a refund for a room I paid for and was never given. It's the worst hotel experience I've ever had. A disgrace to a chain of this caliber. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and I will make sure this experience is shared with as many people as possible.
